About The Position

Imperial Beverage is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead, manage, and hold the portfolio team of Brand Managers accountable. This position is based out of our Kalamazoo Headquarters and is responsible for recruiting and launching new suppliers, while developing and growing current supplier relationships and brands. We take great pride in choosing leaders who can handle the hard work, think strategically and create solutions, motivate their team to achieve goals, and show a passion for leading and developing others.

Requirements

Enjoy a work hard/play hard culture
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Business Administration
2+ years' experience in management
Advanced knowledge of beer, wine and/or spirits
Leadership skills to direct employees and oversee department operations
Must have a reliable personal cell phone with the ability to receive calls and text messages and with a cell phone number available internally
Must possess superior communication and customer service skills, confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to create positive relationships
Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly and efficiently while remaining calm and professional
Strong negotiating skills
Strong analytical skills and numeric ability
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to coordinate processes and work well with various departments
Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license
Occasional travel required
