About The Position

Jonathan Rose Companies is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for analyzing, valuing, forecasting, and strategizing for all real estate private equity funds owned by the company. The position requires collaboration with various internal departments including Investor Relations, Asset Management, Acquisitions, Development, Property Management, and Accounting. Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Quantitative analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, take initiative, and multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • GAAP accounting principles.
  • 1-2 years of experience with overall financial analysis of an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Performs portfolio analysis and valuations for funds, corporate entities, and underlying properties by communicating with asset management, acquisition, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Works directly with external appraisers to meet deadlines for external appraisals.
  • Assists with initial asset-level and fund-level business plans, including documenting strategy and forecasting financial performance.
  • Works closely with Asset Managers to update asset-level business plans annually and reforecast returns.
  • Assists, reviews, and communicates the results of analysis to Asset Management and identifies key areas of concern.
  • Works with Asset Management and Investor Relations teams during quarterly reporting processes and annual investor meetings.
  • Updates REO, debt summary, track record, and PM database quarterly and AUM tracker annually.
  • Assists Director of Portfolio Management with ad hoc investor requests.
  • Performs fund-level cash flow projections and assists the team in strategizing ways to improve investor returns.
