About The Position

PBG delivers mission-focused solutions that eliminate inefficiency and power transformation for federal agencies requiring agility, security, and impact. This position will be primarily remote, although occasional hybrid (in person attendance optional) meetings may be held at the client’s site in Washington, or at the PBG Offices in McLean, VA; once or twice a quarter at the most. The option to work onsite at either the client side or the PBG office is available for those that prefer an in-person setting. Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience supporting IT portfolio management, PMO operations, governance activities, operational analysis, agile delivery environments, or federal consulting engagements.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with moderate independence in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Ability to engage effectively with GS-15, SES, and senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy in client-facing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and high-visibility deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • CAPM, PMP, CTBME, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute portfolio management activities including governance coordination, demand management, operational reporting, stakeholder engagement, and portfolio execution support.
  • Analyze portfolio financials, operational metrics, project performance data, acquisition activities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder inputs to support leadership decision-making.
  • Develop executive-ready briefings, dashboards, status reports, portfolio analyses, governance materials, and operational communications.
  • Facilitate routine portfolio meetings, working sessions, governance activities, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
  • Coordinate responses to leadership taskers, portfolio reviews, audits, data calls, and reporting requirements.
  • Support strategic alignment of portfolio initiatives, operational priorities, OKRs, and performance objectives.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting activities associated with FISMA boundaries, ATO status, operational metrics, and portfolio health indicators.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio processes, governance documentation, workflows, knowledge repositories, and operational guidance.
  • Coordinate across technical teams, business stakeholders, contractors, and government personnel to support portfolio execution and operational alignment.
  • Support implementation and adoption of portfolio management tools, dashboards, low-code/no-code solutions, and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and portfolio management maturity efforts.
  • Prepare government portfolio managers and senior staff for executive meetings, governance forums, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Ability to synthesize operational, financial, technical, and stakeholder information into actionable recommendations and executive-ready deliverables.
