The Portfolio Coach is responsible for stabilizing and scaling the CST product delivery model by driving a consistent, end-to-end value delivery approach. This role partners with Product, Portfolio, and Technology leaders to connect strategy, funding, intake, prioritization, and execution, ensuring demand is aligned to capacity and ready for delivery. The role provides thought leadership in Lean Portfolio Management and Agile practices, while establishing standardized intake, prioritization, and tooling (AgilePlan and Jira Align) to reduce fragmentation and improve delivery predictability. Through coaching, governance, and enablement, this role advances organizational maturity, reduces tooling and process variability, and enables greater transparency, faster prioritization, and more predictable value delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field or Equivalent relevant professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach or equivalent transformation role
  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Owner, or similar Agile leadership role
  • Experience coaching across multiple teams or programs in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile transformations and influencing senior leaders
  • Strong leader, coach, educator, and facilitator with the ability to influence without authority
  • Deep knowledge of Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile frameworks
  • Proven ability to coach at all levels of the organization, from teams to senior leadership
  • Experience creating and delivering Agile training and enablement content
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a systems‑thinking mindset
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed, and regulated enterprise environments

Nice To Haves

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) preferred or Scrum Master (SSM), Release Train Engineer (RTE), or equivalent Agile certification with significant relevant experience
  • Experience launching or scaling Agile Release Trains and enterprise Agile operating models
  • Experience working in environments that blend Agile delivery with traditional project/program funding, governance, or reporting models
  • Expertise with Jira and Jira Align tooling
  • Passion for continuous improvement, learning, and organizational change

Responsibilities

  • Assess and advance Agile and Lean Portfolio Management maturity across CST teams, programs, and portfolios
  • Partner with Product, Portfolio, and Technology leaders to define and execute transformation strategies aligned to enterprise standards
  • Establish and lead a standardized portfolio intake and prioritization model, ensuring demand is aligned to strategy, funding, and capacity
  • Drive adoption and effective use of AgilePlan to enable consistent intake, scoring, prioritization, and portfolio visibility
  • Lead Jira Align onboarding, adoption, and standardization, ensuring it is the system of record for planning, execution, and reporting
  • Ensure alignment from strategy → intake → prioritization → execution, connecting portfolio decisions to team-level delivery readiness
  • Establish and monitor portfolio flow and performance metrics to improve prioritization speed, transparency, and delivery predictability
  • Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks across the intake-to-delivery lifecycle, accelerating time-to-value
  • Provide data-driven insights and portfolio transparency to leadership to support prioritization trade-offs and investment decisions
