About The Position

This position will support PNC's Wholesale - Commercial Credit Analytics team. The role involves providing analytical support in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of regulatory compliant quantitative risk measurement models such as PD, LGD, and EAD for wholesale portfolios. These models are implemented on the Pega based Risk Rating Platform (RRP). The role requires contributing to deliverables across all project phases, assisting in defining process flows and user requirements, participating in business sessions for requirement gathering, ensuring delivered work meets functional requirements, participating in testing phases, understanding scope change control, and performing data analysis, report creation, and visualizations. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with multiple priorities and projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree, and 3+ years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree and 1-2 years of professional experience.
  • Analytical aptitude and critical thinking
  • Experience in analysis, requirement gathering, design, software development lifecycle and large scale enterprise application systems.
  • Ability to learn complex material quickly, allocate time efficiently; handle multiple projects and deliverables concurrently, while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Access.
  • Working knowledge of database programming languages such as SQL, SAS, Python (preferred), etc.

  • Experience with Pega technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute in the development, compilation and maintenance of deliverables across all project phases (inception through user acceptance testing)
  • Assist with identifying and optimally defining process flows and user interface use cases and requirements.
  • Participate in business sessions to facilitate requirement gathering (to include documentation and the ability to ask the right questions).
  • Ensure delivered work product meets/performs to functional requirements based on business requirements defined and approved by key stakeholders.
  • Participate as a member of the testing team in both unit and user acceptance testing phases.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the project scope change control process and procedures.
  • Assist in performing data analysis, creating reports and visualizations.
  • Provides financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Responsible for running complex business performance, risk and operational analytics.
  • May include the development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing financial products.
  • Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk adjusted returns, deliver profitable growth, and communicate conclusions.
  • Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, and improve performance.
  • Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.
  • Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk.
  • Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
  • Works with business, credit, data, and model development partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies.
  • Designs / enhances standard reporting suites for regular product / portfolio reviews.
  • Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite.
