About The Position

As a Portfolio Analyst within the Investment Management team, you will play a key role supporting Portfolio Managers and Traders across diverse fixed income sectors. Your precision and proactive approach will drive operational excellence and empower decision-making. You will collaborate with internal partners such as Client Services, Compliance, Investment Operations, and Risk Management to deliver seamless portfolio management support.

  • Expert-level Excel skills required.
  • Familiarity with query tools (SQL, Python) is a plus.

  • Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, driving consensus and action.
  • Previous exposure to asset management is highly valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CFA designation or progress toward a designation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pre- and post-trade execution process, including overseeing allocations, trade entry, and ensuring trades meet compliance and market deadlines.
  • Utilize the OMS system for efficient trade booking for local and global offices.
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and create consistency in process outcomes.
  • Manage the end-of-day trade process, ensuring accurate trade loading for reliable portfolio valuations.
  • Partner with the back office to investigate and resolve confirmation breaks and trade fails.
  • Action portfolio maintenance trades by monitoring daily cashflows and communicating necessary trades to stakeholders.
  • Monitor post-trade impacts.
  • Advance corporate actions workflow by pre-clearing voluntary corporate actions and supporting the overall process.
  • Communicate critical updates and action items to PMs, Client Service, and Compliance regarding corporate actions.
  • Monitor portfolio compliance by reviewing daily reports and addressing action items.
  • Track the downgrade dashboard and coordinate timely responses to credit rating changes.
  • Monitor and report benchmark updates.
  • Support client-related requests by preparing information and analysis for PMs and Traders.
  • Deliver actionable insights by developing an in-depth understanding of portfolio strategies, risk factors, and metrics.
  • Prepare and analyze daily portfolio reporting, surfacing trends and opportunities.
  • Review and analyze monthly performance data, identify issues, and collaborate with PMs to optimize results.
  • Support investment accounting by partnering with Investment Support and Accounting to resolve book value, yield, and other accounting queries.
