About The Position

Vident Asset Management, LLC is expanding its team with a Portfolio Analyst position, based locally in the greater Atlanta area. This role will work closely with dynamic trading and portfolio management teams, both locally and virtually. Vident Asset Management is a specialized exposure and solutions provider that partners with clients to assess new opportunities and bring investment ideas to life. Founded in 2013, Vident offers a unique portfolio of ETFs, serves as a trusted sub-advisor in the ETF industry, specializes in crafting bespoke indexes and models, and supports a robust SMA platform. The company traditionally partners with institutional investors, asset managers, and wealth management firms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in the investment management field or related academic study.
  • Possess or be working to obtain a CFA Charter.
  • Hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Motivated by eagerness to learn about new technology and financial techniques.
  • Committed to intellectual integrity, transparency, and openness.
  • Able to prioritize and optimize own workload as a function of unexpected events and existing parallel/serial workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel user and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with Bloomberg Port.
  • Ability to think independently and creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Working knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, tax optimization, and portfolio risk analytics.
  • Experience with portfolio optimizers and factor risk models.
  • Team player with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support ETF and mutual fund management.
  • Support all investment-related aspects of fund products, including product research, implementation, portfolio construction, trade review, risk management, and performance monitoring.
  • Support the management of fund portfolios, including account setup, daily reconciliation, ETF creation and redemption, portfolio management, custom in-kind redemption, and portfolio trading.
  • Understand index data workflow and calculation.
  • Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions.
  • Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions.
  • Support client requests ranging from sample portfolio review to client reporting.
  • Perform regular reporting for internal and client use.
  • Perform tracking difference reporting.
  • Work with the fund operation team to help with reconciliation breaks.
  • Participate in presentations and conference calls.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
