About The Position
FAH is a fast-growing, tech-forward residential property management company developing and operating luxury apartment communities across California. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our 312-unit luxury apartment community. This full-time, on-site role supports daily property operations through consistent grounds maintenance, amenity upkeep, resident support, and assistance to the maintenance team. The Porter serves as a visible, friendly presence throughout the community, ensuring common areas, parking lots, pool and BBQ areas, the dog park, mailroom, and all exterior spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. This role also involves light maintenance tasks such as unit turns, minor repairs, and coordinating vendor access. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in contributing to a high-quality living environment that reflects Fuller Apartment Homes' commitment to excellence and exceptional resident experience.
Requirements
- Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong communication skills and professional, resident-facing demeanor
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly; occasionally move 100+ lbs
- Basic computer, smartphone/tablet, and email proficiency, including Gmail
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, dumpster areas, and trash enclosures
- Sweep, mop, and blow out common area hallways, lobbies, and restrooms
- Upkeep and stage amenities including pool areas, patio furniture, BBQ areas, and fitness centers
- Maintain the dog park, including waste removal and supply replenishment
- Pressure wash entryways and landings; remove cobwebs throughout the property
- Keep janitorial supplies stocked and organized in the shop and storage areas
- Serve as a friendly, visible presence for residents and visitors; distribute management notices as needed
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to the maintenance team promptly
- Assist the maintenance team with painting, minor repairs, unit turns, and appliance deliveries when needed
- Provide vendor access to apartments following proper entry and security procedures
- Monitor and assist with Parcel Pending locker operations and mailroom upkeep
- Assist with parking violations and noise complaints during office hours as needed
