The Porter is an integral part of our maintenance team and plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall appearance of the community. This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance team with day-to-day property upkeep, apartment turns, and common area maintenance. This role is ideal for someone dependable, hands-on, and motivated to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Requirements

• Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Previous porter, groundskeeping, janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance support experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Cleaning apartments after move-out and preparing them for new residents
• Removing trash and debris from the grounds daily
• Sweeping sidewalks, breezeways, stairwells, and driveways on a regular basis
• Maintaining cleanliness of common areas, amenities, office spaces, and public access areas
• Supporting the maintenance team with make-readies, trash-outs, and general property upkeep
• Assisting housekeeping and maintenance staff as needed
• Replacing light bulbs and helping maintain exterior lighting
• Helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop
• Distributing flyers, notices, and letters to residents when necessary
• Assisting with physical tasks including moving appliances, furniture, and supplies as needed
• Responsible for maintaining the security of the property and proper handling of community keys at all times

• Pay Range: $18–$20/hour
