Position Overview and Responsibilities At Sentral, we are building a team of people-first focused individuals who thrive on going above and beyond. Ideal candidates will exemplify a can-do attitude, a growth mindset, and an entrepreneurial drive. Successful candidates will be proactive, solution-oriented, and have strong ownership of their work. The Porter will perform day-to-day cleaning and light building maintenance. Overall duties will include removing debris, cleaning interior and exterior areas of the community, maintaining common area amenity spaces, cleaning vacant apartments and responding to all cleaning emergencies. The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. This is an in-person position located in downtown Los Angeles, CA. The shift schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 6am-2:30pm. This position also requires a rotating on-call schedule.
Requirements
- 6 – 12 months porter experience
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Must be reliable and professional
- Attention to detail
- Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner
Responsibilities
- Complete minor repairs and building improvements
- Prepare office for the day by cleaning the store front, office and lobby
- Clean all common amenity areas including bathrooms, fitness center, community lounge, rooftop deck, pool lounge
- Clean hallways, stairways, parking garage and elevators
- When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs
- Monitor bathrooms for cleanliness
- Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crises
- Remove litter and rubbish from all trash rooms
- Power wash as needed
- Perform other related duties and assignments as needed and assigned
