About The Position

As a Warehouse Porter/Cleaner, you'll play a pivotal role in upholding cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within our warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a hygienic and orderly workspace through effective cleaning procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards in a warehouse setting.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in warehouse cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and proper handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to handle tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication skills to report issues and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F
• Stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties

Nice To Haves

• Certifications: Certification in warehouse cleaning or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning Operations: Execute regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing to maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse facility.
• Sanitization Protocol: Adhere to strict guidelines for disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and high-traffic areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Waste Management: Manage proper disposal of waste, including recyclables and hazardous materials, following safety protocols and company regulations.
• Inventory Maintenance: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring an adequate supply is always maintained.
• Maintenance Support: Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, or equipment malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and operating cleaning equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
• Flexibility: Assist in additional tasks as required and collaborate with other warehouse team members during busy periods or special projects.
