About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and flexible Porter to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a floating position, meaning you will support multiple areas of the community rather than being assigned to a single floor. Evening hours focus heavily on dining areas, laundry support, and responding to facility needs as they arise.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work evening hours and maintain reliable attendance
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables throughout the campus
• Support laundry operations as needed
• Clean and maintain dining room floors and service areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain common areas
• Clean and maintain trash rooms and containers
• Assist with floor care as needed
• Respond to evening service needs and facility requests
• Assist with unexpected spills, cleanups, or facility needs
• Move furniture or supplies when needed
• Maintain equipment and supply areas
• Provide general support across the building to ensure cleanliness and safety
