The Porter position at Greystar is responsible for ensuring the physical aspects of the community are meticulously maintained, meeting high standards for grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal. This role provides essential support to the service team members. Key duties include daily inspection of the community to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain neat and clean. The Porter also handles the removal of trash and remaining items from vacant apartments before the make-ready process, transferring trash to designated areas, and maintaining storage spaces. The role involves completing minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager, and assisting the make-ready specialist during apartment turns. Additionally, the Porter is responsible for changing locks according to property policy, ensuring pool gate safety codes are met, and distributing notices to residents. The individual must report any observed hazards and demonstrate strong customer service skills by treating residents with respect, answering questions, and responding to maintenance complaints. Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies, including participation in safety meetings and training, is also a critical aspect of the role.
