About The Position

Established property management company is seeking a Porter for numerous apartment buildings to be cleaned daily. Ideal starter position for anyone looking to grow and train in the maintenance field with opportunities to move up into new positions including technician, painter, plumber and HVAC.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service, multitasking and problem-solving skills and the ability to react with appropriate levels of discretion and urgency to situations or events that require quick response and good communication.

Requirements

• Must have reliable means of transportation for work, transporting tools and materials.
• Proof of automobile insurance required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledgeable with a cellphone
• Commitment to accurate and high-quality work.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand work orders in English.

Responsibilities

• Regular cleanings of building common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, hallways, stairs and apartment space.
• Vacant unit cleaning for move-ins and touch up cleaning for new move-ins as well.
• Removing trash from special projects and garbage containers.
• Clean debris from sidewalks.
• Assists with maintenance installations as needed.
• Report leaks and damage at buildings
