About The Position
The Porter will be responsible for maintaining the facility by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing. This role involves removing miscellaneous debris by removing trash, refreshing the bath area by cleaning toilets and sinks, and refilling hand towel and toilet paper dispensers. The Porter will also be responsible for cleaning floors by washing and vacuuming, maintaining furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture, and cleaning and polishing glass surfaces. Additionally, the role includes keeping supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies and ordering new supplies as needed, keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance. The Porter will maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with security regulations. The position also involves updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and enhancing the housekeeping reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
