About The Position

The Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors, staff, and residents. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that support the smooth operation of the establishment. The Porter will manage waste disposal, restock supplies, and assist with minor repairs or setup duties as needed. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to identify and address maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly. Ultimately, the Porter contributes significantly to the positive experience of everyone who enters the facility by upholding high standards of hygiene and orderliness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a porter, janitorial, or custodial role.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal throughout the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas, hallways, restrooms, and designated workspaces.
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials to ensure availability at all times.
• Assist with setting up rooms or equipment for meetings, events, or daily operations as required.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel promptly.
