About The Position
Porters are employees who sweep, mop and dust premises, are responsible for the general cleanup and snow shoveling, operate the mechanized scrubbing machine, clean the offices, empty garbage and trash barrels, bins. The focus is to keep the business running cleanly and smoothly, and to make sure that the warehouse facility is neat, clean, free from clutter and safe.
Requirements
- Frequently lifting to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
- Having a good sense of balance
- Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
Responsibilities
- Sweep and clear out debris from the warehouse floors.
- Focus is keep the businesses running cleanly and smoothly.
- Work to make sure that the warehouse facility is neat, clean, free from clutter and safe.
- Pick up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors.
