About The Position

Under the direction of the Trailer Shop Manager, the Porter will retrieve/return trailer unit(s) that are scheduled for work. This role provides delivery and transportation support for sales operations, including retrieving and returning trailer units, moving trailers for customers to different locations, and parking trailers in designated areas. The Porter is also responsible for ensuring the parking lot is organized for traffic flow and maintaining an inventory of trailer units on the property. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of porter experience
• Current CDL License
• A DOT physical examination clearance card must be held by the employee
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provides delivery and transportation support for sales operations
• Retrieve/Return Trailer Unit(s) that are ready to be worked on
• Move Trailer around for customers to different locations
• Park Trailers either in the shop and/or in an open space on property
• Ensure the parking lot is organized allowing the flow of traffic to be functional
• Maintain and Update the inventory of trailer units parked on property
• Performs other duties as assigned
