About The Position

The Porter position is responsible for completing tasks assigned by the shop manager, arranging products on display shelves, maintaining shop organization, detailing fusion equipment, performing housekeeping duties, and operating basic hand and power tools. Essential functions include washing work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products; assisting production workers with tasks such as supplying materials or tools and cleaning work areas; cleaning and lubricating equipment; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; performing physically demanding work; demonstrating communication and organization skills; monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and organization in serviced areas; tracking equipment to ensure proper location; ensuring compliance with safety practices; identifying and reporting unsafe equipment to the shop supervisor; and painting equipment when old parts become faded or chipped.

Requirements

  • Must provide valid driver license
  • Must be able to lift over 30 pounds
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated time
  • Able to perform physically demanding work
  • Communication and organization skills

  • Monitors and maintain cleanliness and organization on serviced areas
  • Keep track of equipment ensuring it’s on proper location
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices
  • Identify unsafe equipment and report any issues with shop supervisor
  • Painting equipment when old parts has become faded or chipped
