About The Position

Join The Shore and Country Club as a Porter (Full-Time)! The Shore and Country Club is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Porter to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the Club's facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and employees.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience in a hospitality, club, hotel, or similar environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with members, guests, and fellow employees
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and changing areas
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain common areas, hallways, offices, and dining spaces
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the Club
• Wash, fold, organize, and distribute towels, linens, and other laundry items as needed
• Restock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other necessary materials
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, and furniture
• Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked storage and supply areas
• Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Adhere to all Club safety, sanitation, and operational procedures
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects and facility preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned
