Porter
About The Position
The Porter is responsible for completing tasks assigned by the shop manager, arranging products on display shelves, maintaining shop organization, detailing fusion equipment, and performing housekeeping duties. This role also involves operating basic hand tools and power hand tools. The Porter will wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products, and assist production workers by supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment. Additionally, the Porter will clean and lubricate equipment, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of serviced areas. They will keep track of equipment, ensuring it is in its proper location, and ensure compliance with safety practices. The Porter will also identify unsafe equipment and report any issues to the shop supervisor, and perform painting of equipment when old parts become faded or chipped.
Requirements
- Must provide valid driver license
- Must be able to lift over 30 pounds
- Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated time
- Able to perform physically demanding work
- Communication and organization skills
