About The Position

The Porter is a member of the store team responsible for maintaining buildings and facilities in a clean, sanitary condition in accordance with TravelCenters of America standards. The role helps provide customers with a pleasant environment at the travel center. The position involves cleaning facility areas as directed, following safety and security procedures, using protective equipment and cleaning supplies safely, and completing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and use legs repetitively occasionally.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or move heavy objects.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide guests with a clean, sanitary environment.
• Follow safety and security guidelines and procedures; identify and report potentially unsafe situations involving team members or guests, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Wear and use protective equipment properly and safely.
• Know the quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
