About The Position
Fuller Apartment Homes (FAH) is a rapidly expanding, tech-savvy residential property management company that develops and manages luxury apartment communities throughout California. We prioritize clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and a high level of excellence in all our endeavors. This position offers significant opportunities for advancement as we continue to grow our portfolio. The Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our 352-unit luxury apartment community. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for daily property operations, involving consistent grounds maintenance, upkeep of amenities, resident support, and assistance to the maintenance team. The Porter acts as a visible and friendly point of contact within the community, ensuring that common areas, parking lots, pool and BBQ areas, the dog park, mailroom, and all exterior spaces are consistently clean, organized, and inviting. The role also includes light maintenance duties such as preparing units for new residents, performing minor repairs, and coordinating access for vendors. The ideal candidate will be reliable, attentive to detail, and take pride in contributing to a high-quality living environment that aligns with Fuller Apartment Homes' dedication to excellence and outstanding resident experiences.
Requirements
- Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong communication skills and professional, resident-facing demeanor
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly; occasionally move 100+ lbs
- Basic computer, smartphone/tablet, and email proficiency, including Gmail
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, dumpster areas, and trash enclosures
- Sweep, mop, and blow out common area hallways, lobbies, and restrooms
- Upkeep and stage amenities including pool areas, patio furniture, BBQ areas, and fitness centers
- Maintain the dog park, including waste removal and supply replenishment
- Pressure wash entryways and landings; remove cobwebs throughout the property
- Keep janitorial supplies stocked and organized in the shop and storage areas
- Serve as a friendly, visible presence for residents and visitors; distribute management notices as needed
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to the maintenance team promptly
- Assist the maintenance team with painting, minor repairs, unit turns, and appliance deliveries when needed
- Provide vendor access to apartments following proper entry and security procedures
- Monitor and assist with Parcel Pending locker operations and mailroom upkeep
- Assist with parking violations and noise complaints during office hours as needed
