About The Position

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.25 per hour - $20.25 per hour. Benefits are provided in accordance with the location’s Collective Bargaining Agreement. The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm. This role involves receiving products and inspecting foods to ensure safe temperatures and integrity. The porter will keep all storage areas clean and organized and store food using safety methods. The ability to assist in café operations and set up in a timely and professional manner is also required.

Requirements

  • Arriving on time daily
  • Proper receiving and storage of all foods, chemicals, equipment, and dry goods
  • Weighing and inspecting all received products
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • Record all temperatures and maintain and clean the loading dock area
  • Clean and sanitize the work area.
  • Gather all invoices and provide them to the Chef or GM
  • Removal of garbage
  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
  • Follow safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks.
  • Actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving products and inspecting foods to ensure safe temperatures and integrity of products.
  • Keep all storage areas clean and organized and store food using safety methods.
  • Assist in café operations and set up in a timely and professional manner.
  • Weighing and inspecting all received products.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Record all temperatures and maintain and clean the loading dock area.
  • Clean and sanitize the work area.
  • Gather all invoices and provide them to the Chef or GM.
  • Removal of garbage.
  • Work with catering to deliver food and assist with the setup of events.
  • Support the Chef and culinary team when needed.
  • Support dish room operators as needed.
  • Build rapport with delivery vendors.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
