About The Position
This position is responsible for the daily interior cleaning of the building, including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, placing down mats/runners in inclement weather, and cleaning up spills in accordance with established procedures and as directed by a Supervisor. Other duties may include assisting with inventory control and supply ordering. The role requires prompt notification to management of any spills, emergency situations, need for repairs, broken equipment, damaged structures, plumbing issues, HVAC problems, and any other observable safety issues. The employee must safely use and operate related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment used to perform job duties
- Must be willing to work evenings or weekends (on call) in the case of an emergency.
- Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible and courteous
- Effective listener and team player
- Understand written or verbal instructions from the designated supervisor
- Practice the necessary safety protocols and procedures
- Follows through and carries out work orders
- Some related experience
Nice To Haves
- Some cleaning experience and basic mechanical knowledge is preferred
Responsibilities

- Assisting with inventory control and supply ordering
- Promptly notify management of spills and emergency situations, need for major and minor building/facility repairs, lights that are out or broken, broken equipment and fixtures, damaged structures, ruptured pipes/plumbing, problems with heating/cooling and ventilation and any other observable safety issues/concerns
- Properly and safely use and operate related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents, including mops, vacuums and equipment, and special cleaning solutions in order to efficiently perform the duties and to avoid harming floors, fixtures, individuals, and themselves
