Requirements
- Successful completion of secondary school required
- 2 years of current experience as a Porter required
- Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures required
- Demonstrated ability to frequently lift, walk, push, pull and stand is required
- Previous experience in an environmental services program; specifically recent experience as a patient transportation position required
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system modules is required
- Strong team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven track record meeting schedules and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
- All staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
- The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation. Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH.

Responsibilities
- Transportation of patients and various supplies throughout the hospital.
- Manage patient transfers.
- Movement of wheeled goods, transport of stat specimens and linen supplies.
- Contributes to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
