About The Position

Better Collision Centers is a rapidly growing collision repair company seeking a Porter/Detailer to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring an exceptional customer experience by meticulously detailing vehicles and maintaining a clean and orderly repair facility. The Detailer will be responsible for pre-washing vehicles, cleaning and detailing them before delivery, and performing general cleaning tasks within the facility. A significant portion of the role involves delivering vehicles to customers and sublet locations. The Detailer will act as a Brand Ambassador for Better Collision, contributing to the company's goal of creating a 'Better' experience for everyone.

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED preferred
  • Ability to multitask
  • Automotive experience preferred
  • Clear close vision required
  • 18 years or age or older
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Pulling/Pushing, Carrying
  • Walking 5+
  • Sitting 5+
  • Standing 5+
  • Stoop, Kneel, crouch, and/or crawl 1+
  • Operate a motor vehicle
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Withstand exposure to working near moving mechanical parts

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by meticulously detailing each vehicle.
  • Ensure every client receives a positive first impression upon delivery.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers (75% of the time).
  • Detail cars (25% of the time).
  • Pre-wash vehicles before they move into production.
  • Clean and detail all assigned vehicles before final delivery to the customer.
  • Complete general repair facility cleaning tasks.
  • Work in alignment with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs.
  • Serve as a dedicated Brand Ambassador for Better Collision.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas.
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
  • Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
