About The Position

As a Climate Remediation Center (CRC) Technician, you will be responsible for the safe delivery, loading, and unloading of equipment. This role involves the professional installation and removal of equipment such as Air Conditioning, Evaporative Cooling, Dehumidification, Heating, Air Purification, Remediation, and Ventilation systems from customer job sites. You will have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service and offer solutions to our customers. A key aspect of this role is maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and readiness (green-tagged) of the equipment, which, along with high operational standards, helps reduce the risk of damage. CRC Driver and Service Technicians are expected to embody core competencies that support industry-leading services, including providing "White Glove" service, becoming product experts, ensuring equipment is ready for rent, and championing the company's safety culture.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of work experience using mechanical/technical skills.
Basic knowledge of and troubleshooting skills for HVAC, Evaporative Cooling, Dehumidification, Heating, Air Purification, Remediation, and Ventilation.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and continuously carry 5 pounds.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

CDL is a plus.
Skilled in the safe loading, unloading, installation, and removal of climate control equipment at customer sites.
Ability to maintain equipment cleanliness, organization, and readiness (green-tagged) to ensure high operational standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering “White Glove” service and providing effective solutions to customer needs.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in using iPads, smartphones, laptops, and voice recognition tools for documentation and communication.
Clear and professional communication with customers, sales teams, and internal staff.
Capable of planning daily schedules, managing multiple tasks, and adapting to changing priorities.
Willingness to work overtime, be on call, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Plan daily delivery and pick-up schedules according to business needs.
Prepare rental equipment and necessary materials for shipment.
Communicate professionally with customers, Sales, and internal resources, representing Herc Rentals.
Maintain tools and necessary supplies to successfully complete projects.
Utilize technology such as iPads, laptops, smartphones, and Interactive Voice Recognition to document projects, including daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, change orders, and other necessary documentation.
Demonstrate a strong ability to problem-solve and think independently.
Safely drive, load, and unload box trucks and vans.
Work overtime and be on call as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Attend all Herc and manufacturer-led training as directed.
