Port Operator - Day Shift
About The Position
The Temporary Port Operator is an essential role at the Seattle Fulfillment Center, responsible primarily for fulfilling orders by picking and processing inventory from the AutoStore system. The role also performs inventory replenishment, cycle counting, and inventory control tasks. It uses an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), conveyor system, and related software, and processes inventory through quality assurance and order closing before preparing it for shipment, consolidation, or enhancement. This is an hourly temporary position scheduled Monday through Friday on the day shift, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position is available now through the end of December 2026. Overtime may be available during peak seasons, and seasonal periods may require overtime. Employees are expected to report on time and follow accepted time-off policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dependability for the full-time shift, Monday through Friday.
- Organization.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing, frequent walking, repetitive hand motions, and frequent lifting of up to 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory picking and fulfillment transactions.
- Pick sales orders, requisitions, and transfers using WMi software.
- Induct incoming inventory into AutoStore.
- Ensure orders are consistent across system platforms.
- Route picked inventory to the appropriate area.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify inventory discrepancies.
- Perform other assigned duties as business needs require.
