Population Health IT Specialty Analyst
About The Position
The Epic Population Health IT Associate Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support, optimization, testing, and maintenance of Epic Population Health applications, including Inpatient Case Management, Healthy Planet and EpicCare Link in support of organizational Population Health strategy. This entry-level role partners with clinical, operational, and technical teams to analyze workflows, support system enhancements, evaluate software releases, and resolve application-related issues. The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical experience with case management, inpatient nursing, and population health (OR), OR a baseline Epic Inpatient ClinDoc, Inpatient or Healthy Planet exposure and desire to deepen knowledge within the application or learn additional applications in support of improving patient outcomes, quality of care and clinician efficiency. This is a remote position that works closely with cross-functional teams to support application integration, system upgrades, testing, and ongoing operational support for Sentara's Population Health growth and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Required or 5 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree).
- 3 years of relevant healthcare, clinical informatics, application support, or IT analyst experience with a degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in clinical case management, care coordination, or population health programs required.
- Knowledge of inpatient nursing workflows and healthcare operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Epic Healthy Planet, population health management tools, or healthcare technology applications preferred.
- Experience supporting software testing, workflow analysis, system upgrades, or application optimization activities preferred.
- Epic HP (Healthy Planet) OR IP Clin Doc (Inpatient clinical Documentation )OR Epic Case Management Certification (Preferred).
