Poolside Server | AMA Bar & Grill | Part-time
About The Position
As a Server at AMA Bar & Grill - Poolside, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings will make guests feel unique and valued in a relaxed, outdoor and social atmosphere. You will confirm station assignments, complete daily opening checklists and duties, and possess full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods. Maintaining an atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests is key. You will focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, and actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ serving experience in high volume, upscale full service restaurant preferred
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- TB Clearance required prior to start date
- Maui County Liquor Card required prior to start date
- Hawaii Food Safety Certification required prior to start date
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
- All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
- This Position does not offer sponsorship of Work Visas.
Nice To Haves
- Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
- Degree in Hospitality or Tourism is an asset
