Requirements

  • High school graduate, ability to read, speak and follow written and verbal directions in English.
  • Experience with hot and cold food prep.
  • 2+ years experience in a culinary operation.
  • Past experience on cooking a hot line.
  • Must be proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features.

Responsibilities

  • Be punctual at all times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to arrive to work on time, consistently.
  • Must be in proper uniform, crisp, clean, and in good repair, upon entering the property.
  • Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; Management has final approval.
  • Must learn about care and handling of all chemicals used on the job; must know the appropriate hazardous chemicals MSDS.
  • Ensure that all orders are cooked promptly and with only the highest quality of products in a consistent manner.
  • Ensure that the area is properly set up and all product needed is ready and at hand as determined by business and forecast.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work area, coolers and equipment.
  • Report to immediate supervisor for any absence from the work place.
  • Ensure that all safety rules are followed and any unsafe operation of equipment is reported immedialtey to supervisor.
  • Ensure that food product is properly stored and labeled.
  • Responsible for items used during shift being replenished and restocked for the next shift.
  • Responsible for checking the schedule in case of any changes and to ensure not exceeding time scheduled without prior authorization from immediate supervisor.
  • Express concerns, ideas, or guest complaints to supervisor.
  • Check product on a daily basis to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Responsible for cleaning and storage of product and area at end of shift.
  • Act promptly and without delay to any question or request by and supervisor or manager.
  • Report any problems or maintenance needs of any equipment and ensure proper use of safety devices on all equipment.
  • Practice all health and safety rules.
  • Assist fellow employees upon completion of assigned tasks.
  • Must provide courteous service to members and avoid member complaints.
  • Must not present a direct threat to the safety of health of the employees or others.
