About The Position

Serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience in the Pool area. This role involves checking the station before, during, and after the shift for proper set-up and cleanliness, greeting guests warmly, explaining specials, taking and accurately recording orders, and delivering food and beverages. The Pool Server will also handle cash transactions according to company procedures and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures to pre-check, input order and close out the check.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Responsibilities

Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or promotions for guest awareness.
Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
When complete, retrieve orders up to 30 lbs. from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments.
Hospitably greet, prepare and serve drinks to guests according to HEI Hotels and Resorts beverage service standards.
Follow all cash handling and bank operating procedures as outlined by HEI Hotels and Resorts.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
