About The Position

Under the direction of the Pool & Sauna Haus Facility Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the pool and sauna facility. The Supervisor ensures the facility is safe, clean, and welcoming to guests while providing exceptional customer service. The Supervisor assists with training, supervising, and directing facility staff and enforces pool rules and regulations. Additionally, this position supports events scheduled at the facility and collaborates with the Manager to maintain efficient facility operations. This is a full-time, year-round position that plays a key role in ensuring an outstanding guest experience in one of our newest resort amenities. Working under the director of the Pool & Sauna Haus Facility Manager, the Supervisor helps oversee the day-to-day operations during afternoon and evening hours. Responsibilities include supporting and guiding staff, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with guest check-ins and registrations, and ensuring that all facility policies are followed. This role also supports special events and general facility operations, helping provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for every guest.

Requirements

  • Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
  • Ability to communicate and attend to guests with the highest standard of service.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to learn and operate point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Ability to pass cash handling training.
  • Working knowledge of custodial practices, cleaning procedures, and proper use of sanitation equipment and cleaning agents; ability to train others and uphold cleanliness standards in a public facility.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required or ability to obtain.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply first aid techniques or ability to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Problem sensitivity and the ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to the supervisor.
  • Ability to swim and demonstrate comfort and competency in the water as part of regular job duties.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand and hear the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
  • Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Passionate about guest service and the hospitality/recreation industry.
  • Minnesota Certified Pool Operator certification or ability to obtain preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills; ability to learn point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work indoors in warm, humid conditions and be physically active on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Registers guests at the facility, collects payments, and ensures proper waivers are signed.
  • Monitors pool area users, maintaining order and safety; enforces policies, rules and regulations.
  • Follows proper emergency procedures when needed; administers first aid, as needed.
  • Reports employee or guest injuries to the Manager on duty and completes incident reports as directed.
  • Interacts with guests professionally, courteously, friendly, and helpfully.
  • Assist with resolving guest complaints, concerns and suggestions.
  • Is familiar with all unit services/features and local attractions/activities to accurately respond to guests’ questions.
  • Maintains a positives and active role at the pool, even when working under potentially stressful conditions, including when dealing with a difficult or injured guest.
  • Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to the manager.
  • Ensures the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of the facility by performing and overseeing daily custodial and housekeeping duties, including locker rooms, restrooms, pool deck, sauna areas, and common guest spaces.
  • Assists in training and supervising facility staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality service.
  • Coronadites facility usage for private events as directed by the Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
