About The Position

The Psychometrist administers and scores neuropsychological, cognitive, academic/achievement, and psychological assessments under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. This role coordinates testing services, maintains testing inventory, provides administrative oversight for testing materials, and assists neuropsychology faculty with patient care activities. The Psychometrist observes and documents test ‑ taking behaviors, prepares and enters scored data into standardized templates, and serves as a liaison to other departments and branch campuses requiring cognitive testing services. The position also participates in division meetings, workshops, research activities, and conference submissions while adhering to established standards of practice and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Understanding of standardized testing procedures, scoring methods, test structure, and administration guidelines across multiple age groups.
  • Ability to score assessments (raw scores, standard scores, t ‑ scores, percentiles) and accurately enter results into neuropsychology data tables.
  • Ability to observe, identify, and document detailed test ‑ taking behaviors relevant to diagnostic interpretation.
  • Skilled in interacting with patients across the lifespan, faculty, clinical staff, external departments, and branch campuses.
  • Ability to manage testing inventory, track supplies, prepare monthly worksheets, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Competence using computers and software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and testing ‑ related platforms.
