About The Position

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is seeking a passionate Pool Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the water quality and upkeep of the Nordic baths to ensure superior quality facilities for guests. The Pool Operator will support the company's mission of providing guests with a peaceful refuge to rediscover well-being. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of maintenance techniques and work safety procedures
  • Ability to do manual and technical work
  • Ability to properly use maintenance equipment and tools
  • Teamwork skills (autonomy, versatility)
  • Tolerance to stress
  • Good physical condition: ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23kg), ability to work in a noisy, hot and/or cold outdoor environment and long hours standing on your feet

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience in the field of water treatment
  • CPO certification
  • Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS training

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring the cleanliness of all spa amenities and spaces
  • Ensure the proper operation of pool systems (filtration, heating, air conditioning, controls, etc.) and maintain preventive maintenance
  • Carry out the required calibration, adjustment, modification, and programming of the various pool controls
  • Carry out a daily verification of the equipment and installations of the water pools (pressures, filters, lights, temperatures, water, oil, chemical and cleaning product levels, etc.)
  • Entering pools to conduct routine inspections as required
  • Perform other related duties
