About The Position

The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires flexibility for rapidly changing assignments and the ability to perform duties with minimal continuous supervision. The intern is accountable to nurses for all patient care provided during a shift and is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting teamwork. The estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 per hour, depending on the shift.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Successful completion of medical surgical nursing course and clinical
• Basic Life Support certification
• Upon graduation of nursing program, must successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
• Maximum length of time in role is 15 months.
• No Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.
• Maintains flexibility necessary for rapidly changing assignments.
• Performs the functions of a Nurse Intern in carrying out all assignments given by the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision.
• Is accountable to the nurses for all patient care he/she gives during a shift.
• Is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers.
