About The Position

The Pool Monitor is charged with the responsibility to ensure that the pool facility is operated in a safe manner and that all policies and procedures associated with the pool operations are met. This is a seasonal position from May 25th through September 7th, 25-30 hours per week.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated ability or experience in pool maintenance desirable.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the overall operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, deck area, rest rooms and adjacent areas.
Open and close the pool facility in accordance with the predetermined schedule and start up/shut down procedures.
Ensure that all pool rules, policies and procedures are followed and that access to the pool is limited to the residents of the community.
Perform routine maintenance and service on the pool, adjacent facilities and equipment.
Check chlorine at the edge of the pool. Adjust accordingly.
Fill chlorinator tank.
Vacuum pool.
Backwash filter daily.
Clean restrooms, including toilets, showers, floors and sinks.
Clean deck, towels, cigarette butts, paper, etc.
Fill baby pool, if necessary; hose off deck area.
Check pH and chlorine in both pools. If necessary, add chlorine. Do not add acid.
Pick up litter around the pool area.
