About The Position

The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for Pool Food Runners to join our amazing Team! This role involves greeting and serving guests by providing prompt and courteous service. The Pool Food Runner will facilitate the assembly of food orders from the front line to the table to ensure guest service is efficient and consistent with presentation in the restaurant setting, pool areas, and cabanas. The goal is to ensure meeting both Crescent and Hilton’s highest standards of quality and service.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. and transport through a crowded room and/or area.
• Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticket.
• Read kitchen order print out from computer to organize order.
• Communicate with kitchen team and check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
• Garnish place and supply appropriate condiments in preparation for delivery or server pick up.
• Act as liaison between service staff and line cooks.
• Assist guests with orders by explaining dishes and drinks and making recommendations as appropriate.
• Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests.
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
• Do all necessary set-up side work as assigned.
• Breakdown, wrap, label and date and store products; clean and sanitize work station.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
