About The Position

The Pool Bartender is a vital member of the service team, providing a warm welcome to all guests at the bar and throughout the lounge areas, while delivering exceptional Food & Beverage service. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining bar organization, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment.

Requirements

Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry.
Good knowledge of food and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property.
Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests by name when possible, with a genuine smile, eye contact, enthusiasm, and engaging demeanor
Introduce first-time guests to bar offerings, specialty cocktails, and signature beverages
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently
Present the menu and offer helpful recommendations on cocktails, spirits, and pairings
Take beverage and food orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
Ensure timely delivery of drinks and bar-side service while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area
Act as a liaison between guests, management, and service staff to ensure seamless communication
Demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and hospitality throughout each guest interaction
Perform side work, restock supplies, and maintain bar equipment
Contribute to safety, sanitization, and responsible alcohol service protocols to support a healthy work environment
