About The Position

The Pool Bartender is responsible for delivering elevated, high-energy beverage service in Vinarosa Resort’s poolside and outdoor venues, creating a vibrant and memorable guest experience. This role focuses on preparing and presenting cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, open-air environment while maintaining professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. The Pool Bartender must balance technical execution with engaging, guest-focused hospitality, ensuring timely service and accuracy during high-volume periods. Working closely with servers, culinary teams, and leadership, this position supports smooth operations, inventory control, and adherence to brand standards. Awareness of outdoor conditions, guest safety, and responsible alcohol service is critical. The Pool Bartender contributes directly to guest satisfaction, beverage revenue, and the overall atmosphere and success of the resort’s pool experience.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, frozen beverages, and summer-focused drink menus
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain efficient in a fast-paced, outdoor setting
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes and brand standards
  • Provide engaging, energetic service to guests in a poolside environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, frozen drinks, beer, wine, and seasonal beverage offerings
  • Operate POS systems accurately, manage tabs, and handle transactions efficiently
  • Maintain proper service pacing during high-volume pool and peak-hour periods
  • Ensure bar cleanliness, organization, and presentation in an outdoor environment
  • Execute opening, closing, and side work duties including stocking, ice management, and equipment setup
  • Monitor inventory levels, rotate product using FIFO, and communicate shortages to leadership
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service and monitor guest consumption in a resort leisure setting
  • Maintain awareness of safety hazards including wet surfaces, glassware control, and outdoor conditions
  • Collaborate with pool servers and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in service recovery and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
