About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This role delivers exceptional service by crafting drinks to standard recipes, engaging guests with professionalism and energy, and maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar. The Bartender contributes to revenue growth through product knowledge, upselling, and creating a memorable guest experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience; hotel or resort experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
  • Familiarity with food service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • RBS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and service staff following standardized recipes and proper portion control.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all beverages.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
  • Accommodate special requests and dietary considerations when possible.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain the bar with all necessary products, including liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Perform opening and closing duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area at all times.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
  • Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift reports, including tip distribution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and complete requisitions as needed.
  • Participate in opening and closing inventory counts.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Adhere to all alcohol service laws and ensure responsible service at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and compliance with HAZMAT procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents promptly.
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, and work areas.
  • Ensure minors and intoxicated guests are not served alcohol.
  • Resolve guest concerns within scope of authority; escalate when necessary.
  • Report unusual incidents, safety concerns, or suspected theft.
  • Support team members and assist with additional duties as needed.

Benefits

  • The hourly rate for this opportunity is $16.90 an hour.
