About The Position

Autumn Ridge Apartments in Carol Stream is seeking reliable and attentive Seasonal Pool Attendants to oversee our community pool area. This is not a lifeguard position. We are looking for dependable individuals who can take ownership of the pool environment, communicate clearly, and help maintain a safe and welcoming community space. Attendants are responsible for monitoring the pool environment, enforcing community rules, and helping ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for residents during the summer season.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert
Ability to enforce rules professionally and respectfully
Good communication and customer service skills
Reliable and punctual
Flexibility to cover work shifts when needed

Responsibilities

Greet and check-in residents and guests; enforce guest policies and maintain logs (if applicable)
Monitor pool area during assigned shifts and remain attentive at all times
Enforce all community pool rules consistently and fairly
Prevent unsafe behavior such as running, diving, or glass in the pool area
Perform daily inspections and report maintenance concerns to the Community Manager and Maintenance Technician
Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas
Ensure safety equipment is present and accessible
Act immediately and appropriately to respond to any incidents that may occur; report any incidents, injuries, or violations to Management immediately
Clear the pool during unsafe conditions such as lightning
Follow the daily opening and closing procedures when scheduled
Secure pool area at closing
