About The Position

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the Pools in the resort while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests. This role requires employees to be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees. The attendant will thoroughly clean pool areas, including restrooms and green areas, restock towels, linens, and supplies, and replenish chemical bottles. They will also handle lost and found items according to standards and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean pool areas according to standards, including restrooms and green areas.
  • Restock towels, linens, and required supplies around the pool area.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use.
  • Replenish chemical bottles.
  • Clean Restrooms.
  • Report any missing items to management.
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to management.
  • Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
