About The Position

WinnCompanies is looking for an indoor Pool Attendant to join our military housing team at Fort Hood, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring all activities in the pool area of the property, ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, and responding to potential emergencies. Please note that this is a seasonal part-time position, which is not eligible for Winn benefits. This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver’s license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a high school program at minimum.
  • Experience in lifeguarding surveillance and rescue technique.
  • Ability to achieve Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Solid customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain all appropriate Red Cross certifications.
  • Furnish copies of such certifications to the Property Manager.
  • Generate and maintain appropriate activity reports.
  • Watch people in the pool in order to warn against inappropriate activity and to be cognizant of any need for personal assistance.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service.
  • Enforce the property's rules at all times for use of and activity in and around the pool, including wearing appropriate attire and ensuring that food and beverages are not brought into the pool area.
  • Control the number of people in the pool at any given time to ensure that the pool is not overcrowded, according to Red Cross standards.
  • Ensure the pool area is always clean and in good repair, with the responsibility for calling the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) as needed for maintenance and/or cleaning assistance.
  • Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Open and close the pool area at the appropriate times each day the pool is open.
  • Ensure that all gates to the area are locked at the end of each day.
  • Clean and test the pool as needed.
  • Dress appropriately and neatly in the prescribed uniform. Be neat and groomed at all times.
