About The Position
The Polyurethane Operator role at ANDRITZ involves working proficiently both independently and as part of a team. The operator will be responsible for mixing materials used in the production of polyurethane roll covers. This position requires the ability to safely and efficiently operate various equipment, understand chemical processes, and complete necessary documentation.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- On the job training will be provided.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet requirements may be substituted.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate roll rotating equipment.
- Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
- Understand and employ multi-part chemical processes in the application of polyurethane roll covers by a variety of methods.
- Complete paperwork as necessary to document covering variables.
- Learn to operate new equipment if/when upgraded.
- Read and understand standard prints and instructions.
- Safely and efficiently blast and cement rolls as needed.
- Perform other maintenance, housekeeping, painting, and miscellaneous tasks as needed and/or as directed by supervision.
- Be willing and able to proficiently perform all tasks with or without supervision.
