Performs polysomnography procedures on patients with suspected injury or disease resulting in sleep disorders under supervision and according to facility policies and procedures. This role involves assisting with patient scheduling, completing technical reports, processing patient charge information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The technician will also perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting, monitor patient safety during procedures, and communicate with other patient care support staff. Key duties include preparing patients for testing, ensuring accurate electrode application, collecting pertinent information for test interpretation, and maintaining adequate supplies and equipment.
