The Polysomnographic (PSG) Technologist provides comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient education services to support the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Working under the supervision of the Sleep Medicine Medical Director, the PSG technologist performs in-center and home sleep testing, administers and titrates sleep-related therapies, analyzes and scores sleep studies, and delivers patient-centered care that promotes positive clinical outcomes. The role also supports education and professional development by mentoring trainees, technicians, and students while contributing to quality improvement and operational excellence within the Sleep Disorders Center. Completing the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is required within 2 years of eligibility date. A two-year commitment to the department is required. This position involves direct patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting and may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Candidates should be comfortable working with sleep diagnostic equipment, electronic health records, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
