Requirements
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Active Maryland state license
- Previous experience conducting and interpreting sleep studies in a clinical or lab setting
- Strong knowledge of sleep medicine terminology and procedures
- Excellent patient bedside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating with physicians and staff
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable troubleshooting sleep study equipment
- Able to work full-time overnight shifts
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic studies for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Accurately score, analyze, and interpret sleep data, identifying clinically significant findings
- Partner closely with physicians to provide meaningful insights that support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with clinical standards
- Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on polysomnography equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Support the rollout of new technologies and protocols in the sleep lab
- Create a safe, calming, and supportive overnight environment that puts patients at ease
