This role involves interviewing patients to assess sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures, preparing patients and equipment for ordered testing, and performing and accurately documenting sleep studies. The technologist will continuously monitor patients during testing, intervening as required to address patient needs or resolve equipment malfunctions. Additionally, the role includes collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient data to identify and address patient-specific requirements, scoring, interpreting, and reporting the results of sleep studies, and preparing, calibrating, and maintaining testing equipment, including performing repairs and reporting required replacements.
